I only had nine weeks to plan my wedding. I didn't have time to do a ton of shopping for the perfect book to help, so I bought two from Amazon that looked the best and just prayed one would work. This planner would have been fabulous for the bride with a six months or more to plan. It was organized very well, with lots of pockets and places to put things. I initially used both of them to see which one would work, but within a week or so it was obvious the other one was the one I needed. (Instant Wedding Planner: Get from 'Will You?' to 'I Do!' in Record Time (spiral bound) by Jennifer L. Shawne) This planner was so large it came with it's own bag to lug it around! While the bag was cute, I needed something more compact, both in size and the amount of planning stuff it offered. My whole wedding was DIY, except for the videographer and photographer. My mother and I did flowers/invitations/decorating/food/etc.I did like the checklists, and worksheets and a few other things in the planner. I only used maybe 15-25% of the book. The other planner I used 100%, including after my wedding. If I would have had more time to plan my wedding, I have no doubt I could have and would have used this book in full.
I purchased this planner after reading reviews for many different planners. I am going to be using this for my wedding in May 2015. I really like that I can insert my own picture in the front cover which I plan on doing after I get my engagement pictures done. This makes the book so much more personal, and I am really excited that this is going to be something that I can keep after the wedding as well. I love all the extras such as the business card holder, hole puncher, and tote bag. Additionally, this book comes with six two-sided pocket folders to store all of your different receipts. The bag actually comes in a clear plastic divider page that is completely sealed on all edges, so I used a paper slicer to cut it open, and I now have an extra plastic page to store things in! I will update again when the wedding is closer to let everyone know how useful this book proves to be but I was having a hard time keeping my thoughts organized as there are so many different wedding ideas out there.
I love this book. I have read through the pages and skimmed through the rest, due to the fact that there are many pages of information (Over 200) just from looking at the thickness. In my opinion, this book is going to be everything I need plus more to plan my wedding!!
The planner is very informative with some great ideas and points I didn't think of for the wedding. It comes with a tote bag to carry it around as the book is too big and heavy to carry everywhere. Also, it comes with your own hole punch for when you need to keep papers in the binder. The planner has a plastic insert page which keeps business cards and brochures organized for easy access. It is great!
shipping was fast!if you are like me, that doesn't know the first step when it comes to planning a wedding, ,this is the book for you. it has really great tabs to keep you organized, checklists to hand to your family and friends etc. i especially loved the picture insert in front of the binder, that way you can place a picture of you an your fiancé..it will make a nice keepsake in the future. it also comes with a bag to carry it around in. now it doesn't claim to give you ideas on your wedding, so if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere.i still intend to get a wedding planner, but i wanted to be armed with information before i consult anyone. this book is like a starter pack to get the ball rolling and get you thinking.great purchase
I bought this for my sister who just got engaged. I had the same one and it was awesome. ITs all about the folders which keep everything organized. We have given this to ever bride to be we know.And the little bag is great! We kept bridal magazines and samples in ours.
I read wonderful reviews about this product and was so excited to order it! My sister just got engaged and I'm her maid of honor. For her engagement party I ordered this wedding planner book last week. I received it and check it to make sure it was fine and the entire 3 ring binder was broken and not even attached! I placed a new order and returned this one. Thinking it was just a fluke, I ordered the same one. The next day I received it and I check it again......THAT one was broken too!!! The binder was broken and not attached again!I know this book looks cute and has a bag and all but if you order it PLEASE check it before you give it out as a gift as it will probably be broken!
This is AWESOME. My daughter (lives in California) and I (in Massachusetts) both have the same book so we use it as our bible for planning. We spent a few hours together going through every page updating and making the books our own. We had access to on line tools as well, but these allowed us to mark up and use color coded tabs and markers to "MAKE THEM OUR OWN". PERFECT!!!!
